I love the lavender oil on my feet!

My favourite brand hails from the same place where this oil originated! For nearly forty years now, Thursday Plantation has been a leader in the delivery of nature’s oils. From skin relief to radiance, this Australian company carries products for the health and beauty needs of the whole family. With the belief in purity, their range does not contain
synthetic parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES), or harsh detergents.

All of their products are also free from animal testing. As you can tell, there are also a few oils that mix really well with tea tree oil, like lavender and eucalyptus! Did you know that there are actually hundreds of ways to use tea tree oil? So be sure that you’ve got it stocked in your home, take it with you while you’re camping, throw it in your purse — wherever you feel that you’ll need it! Because trust me, you will.

The tea tree oil is wonderful!

Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil – 10ml – $7.99, 25ml – $13.99, 50ml – $23.99 – a 100% pure, naturally sourced broad spectrum antiseptic distilled from specially selected Melaleuca alternifolia leaves, a plant native to the coastal regions of northern New South Wales and south eastern Queensland, Australia.

The wonderful thing about tea tree oil is how many things you can use it for -it’s a first aid kit in a bottle as it can be applied to minor cuts, burns, sunburn, abrasions, bites and stings; cures fungal infections like athlete’s foot; prevents tooth decay and my sister swears by it for acne. Run out of lysol? It can even be used as cleaner and kills 99.9% of household germs!… Available now at Walmart, Rexall, Whole Foods, Goodness Me, Nature’s Emporium, The Big Carrot, Loblaws and lots of independent health food stores across Canada and online at well.ca

Make a coffee foot scrub

Make your own refreshing Coffee Foot Scrub Scrub! Did you know caffeine may reduce cellulite? So give your thighs a rub too if you want! Of course coffee is a strong scent in itself and you don’t need to use essential oils if you don’t want to. I love the benefits of essential oils so I use it wherever I can…

Confessions of a Fitness Instructor

“A few weeks ago Thursday Plantation sent me this super cute Cold & Flu Emergency Kit equipped with Tea Tree, Lavender and Eucalyptus oils and a towel.

Adding eucalyptus oil into a face towel to relief a stuffy nose, or add to a diffuser to inhale during the day to boost immunity. Add a few drops of tea tree or eucalyptus oil a bottle of distilled water to make a disinfectant spray. Add lavender oil to an unscented night cream and stir well. The scent will help relax you at bedtime helping you to have a more restful sleep. Placing a drop of lavender oil behind the ears or around the navel can help alliviate symptoms of nausea.

Cold sore keeping you down? Put a few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton swab and gently apply it directly to the cold sore. Apply 3-4 times/day to help the cold sore heal.

These are only a few of the many, many uses for these three oils, visit www.thursdayplantationcanada.ca/100uses for more ways to use these three fabulous oils.”

“Breathe easy. Eucalyptus oil, a natural decongestant, alleviates chest and sinus congestion. Inhale the steam from a mixture of five millimeters of Thursday Plantation Eucalyptus oil ($9.99, drug-stores) and two cups of hot water to get rid of mucus buildup and headaches.”

“Admittedly, I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to a lot of the claims that I’ve heard people make about essential oils. That being said, ever since I was a young teenager there have been essential oils that I’ve reached for in certain situations and that I still reach for today, so I was really excited when I got the chance to try out the Thursday Plantation Cold & Flu Emergency Kit*. Having a cold is a pain and I’ve never been a huge fan of cold medicine, so I was pretty eager to put these essential oils to the test. And the coolest thing? There are SO many recommended uses that I had no idea about!”

“After educating myself on the power of mother nature years ago, I’ve been a fan of essential oils in my skin care, but it isn’t until recently that I’ve come to appreciate their many other uses.

Eucalyptus Oil – Eucalyptus leaves aren’t just good for koalas! In its extracted oil form, one of its most well-known uses is to relieve cold and flu symptoms.

Tea Tree Oil – You may have heard of tea tree oil, expecially if you deal with breakouts like me since its commonly used in acne treatments.

Lavender Oil – Ever since I visited a lavender farm a few summers ago, I have been obsessed with using lavender facial spray as a refresher. Known for its calming properties, lavender oil can be used in many different ways.

You can purchase Thursday Plantation products online through Abundance Naturally and Well.ca, at major retailers in Canada such as Walmart, Rexall, and Whole Foods Market as well as at select health food stores.”

“I will not say I’m an essential oil pro, but I do have my select favourites. I think that what I want to stress most is, after using each oil for a considerable amount of time – they definitely work and accomplish what they claim to.

TEA TREE –  Rub this oil on your acne to make it disappear. I drop a few drops in my night cream to avoid acne in general.”
